Gylt sally9/6/2023 ![]() ![]() It gives us some freedom of movement and exploration, so it cannot be classified as typical lines that limit the field of play. Gylt is not too difficult or long, it can be completed in about 6-8 hours. The game is a typical adventure game in which we explore the environment, solve puzzles, collect items and avoid or fight opponents. The gameplay of the game is simple and fun, but not without its flaws. The graphics of the game are therefore rather a matter of taste than a work that uses the fullness of today’s technology and possibilities. ![]() We won’t see many “next-gen” effects here, such as ray tracing or dynamic reflections. However, I did not notice any major graphical differences compared to the Stadi version, which also looked very good. It uses the capabilities of the DualSense controller (though not fully), which responds to our actions in the game with vibrations and sounds. The game looks great on PS5, where it offers smooth gameplay at 4K and 60 FPS. Interestingly, some of them, like the room with mannequins, resemble the scenery known from Silent Hill. We visit abandoned locations that are full of puzzles, secrets and threats. The game enjoys the detail and variety of locations that we visit during the adventure. However, darker colors were used with much better lighting to create a moody and disturbing atmosphere. In this respect, it reminds me a bit of Psychonaut 2, although a slightly less detailed version of the game. The game has a beautiful and stylish art design that combines realistic environments with surreal elements. ![]() The game’s graphics are one of its strongest aspects. The story is told in a subtle and emotional way, and the game gives the player freedom of interpretation and choice. However, the game is not moralistic or intrusive in its message. The game encourages empathy and compassion for the victims of bullying, as well as fighting your own fears and problems. It shows how Sally feels alienated, alone and helpless in the face of violence and ridicule. The game raises the important topic of bullying at school and its consequences for the child’s psyche. So he must face his demons to save Emily and bring her back home. ![]() Downstairs, Sally discovers that the city is haunted by strange creatures who are the embodiment of her own nightmares. We experience a transition to another dimension. This does not happen, and the railway starts on its own and begins its journey downhill straight to the city, but something strange happens along the way. Well, we enter the trolley alone, hoping that the strange stranger will appear in a moment. We obediently do as he says, but when we go to the cash register again to hand in the ticket, the man is gone. Reaching the railway point, some strange-looking bearded gentleman tells us to take a ticket from the side machine if we want to board the mountain car. What is? Who left her here? Never mind, it’s time to go to the city, because it’s getting late. After a while it gets dark and somehow we find a flashlight. Unexpectedly, we are attacked by a group of school bullies, from whom we try to run as hard as we can. He starts, and in fact we start sticking cards with the image of our cousin on the fences and walls. One day, her cousin Emily disappears without a trace, and Sally decides to find her. Sally is a lonely and shy schoolgirl who is often bullied by other children. The plot of the game is simple but interesting. Along the way, our protagonist has to face her fears, bullies and monsters, which are a metaphor for her problems with bullying over her and her cousin at school. The game tells the story of Sally, a young girl who is looking for her missing cousin Emily in a mysterious and haunted city. However, when it turned out that the platform was about to collapse and would be closed, the Gylta owners announced that they would also release it on other platforms, including the PS5 version I was playing, where I could enjoy 4K resolution at a constant 60 frames per second. Gylt is an adventure game with “horror” elements, created by the Spanish studio Tequila Works and published by Google as an exclusive title for the Stadia platform in 2019. ![]()
